v1.0.0 — July 22, 2026
- New Core 1v1 tactical board game on 7×7 or 9×9 boards — race your pawn to the far edge, wall your opponent in, but never seal them off completely.
- New Local hot-seat play (two players, one device) and four AI difficulties (Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert), fully offline.
- New Online play: ranked (rated) and casual (unrated) matchmaking against real opponents, with reconnect support if your connection drops.
- New Accounts: play as a guest, or sign up with email or Google — guest progress carries over if you sign in later.
- New Profiles with rank tier, rating, and win/loss record; full match history.
- New An interactive 3-lesson tutorial covering movement, walls, and a mini-match.
- New Optional chess-clock timed matches.
- Improve Wall placement is now a personal choice: pick Preview + Confirm, Tap Twice, Drag & Release, or Instant placement from Profile → Game Settings, each with an animated preview so you know what you're choosing.
- Improve Redesigned the "Finding an opponent" screen with a clearer sense of what you're queued for (board size and ranked/casual) instead of a bare spinner.
- Improve Legal-move highlights during an AI or online match now only show on your own turn — seeing the opponent's or AI's options while you wait isn't useful and was cluttering the board.
- Improve Dialogs (leave match, match result, edit username) now use a softer, more game-appropriate look instead of a harsh dark overlay and heavy shadow.
- Improve The Profile screen now shows a proper "you're offline" state instead of a generic error when it can't reach the server.
- Improve In-app notifications (toasts) now match the rest of the game's visual style instead of the plain system default.
- Fix The win/loss screen no longer shows a confetti celebration to the player who just lost in an AI or online match.
- Fix The back button on the match screen now asks for confirmation before leaving an in-progress game, matching what already happened with the system back gesture.
- Fix Drag & Release wall placement can now be cancelled mid-drag by dragging off the board, instead of being forced to commit whatever you were previewing.
- Fix Fixed a crash opening the Profile tab from the bottom navigation.
- Fix Offline errors no longer show raw technical error text — you'll see a plain-language message instead.
